15 participants from Latvia joins "Advanced" course pilot trainings

On 2 June 2014 Zemgale Region  Human Resource and Competences Development Center started training in the framework of "Telecentre Multimedia Academy" Project.

 lv3A pilot group consisting of 15 participants started trainings on advanced level. Among the participants there are general education and ICT teachers, librarians and youth.  Although the participants have previous experience working with video and photo, they all have a common goal - to acquire the skills necessary to create digital stories and gain an understanding what exactly makes digital stories different from other audio and video works. All participants are very motivated and interested in training because everybody knows where the acquired knowledge and skills will be used un future.

At present, the first three days of training have been successfully lv4completed, during which the participants gained an understanding of digital storytelling, scenario development, practiced doing some tasks to prepare for filming, interview building, recording voiceover, as well as mastering video editing program “Lightworks".

As the end product of the training is to create their own digital stories, during next  training sessions the most important task will be to learn project management skills, develop creative  teams, agree on a common idea that could lead to a successful creation of the digital story.
